Flexible Pavement Design Suitable for Sudan

Pavement design is the process of calculation thickness pavement layers which can withstand expected traffic load over life without deteriorating. In another word, it providing a structure in stresses on subgrade are reduced to acceptable magnitude. Highways Sudan deteriorate first years construction due many reasons including deficiency design. This research aims minimize probability roads failure by selecting appropriate method for based performance evaluation each method. Various sections with different environment, loading, and material properties were designed using AASHTO, Road Note 31, Group Index CBR The layered elastic analysis structural number approach adopted evaluate these sections. results base suitable concludes that, AASHTO most deformations followed 31 But, from economical prospective method; some modifications; be considered as Sudan. Recommendations future studies focus development implementation mechanistic-empirical guide applicable
